About the Region
Lower Austria’s „Mostviertel“ is a truly captivating region.
Explore a flourishing, charming hideaway located between Vienna and Salzburg, and between the Danube River and the peak of the Ötscher, almost 2000 metres high! The contrast between the gently rolling, very fertile land to the north and the wild, romantic alpine country in the south is very delightful and gives inspiration for multi-faceted voyages of discovery, family fun vacations and mountainous adventures.
The Mostviertel lies in the western part of Lower Austria, south of the Danube. 407.00 people live in this region.

The climate is influenced by Atlantic and Pannonian weather systems.
